A Father's Hope: The Urgent Plea for a Kidney from a Living Donor
John's Story
John is a loving father to his daughter Rylee (3 yrs. old) and son Xander (6 months), an amazing husband that I, Melisa, cherish beyond measure, and the pillar of strength of our family.
For years, he's battled a chronic kidney disease called IGA Nephropathy with resilience and fortitude. Despite countless medical appointments, treatments, and setbacks, John has remained steadfast in his determination to overcome the odds.
However, as time passes, John's condition has worsened. His kidneys are failing rapidly, and the hope for a spontaneous recovery is fading. Each day brings with it the stark reality of his mortality, casting a shadow of fear and uncertainty over our family's future.
As John's health declines, his greatest fear is not for himself, but for the impact his absence would have on his entire family. He dreams of walking his daughter down the aisle, playing catch with his son, and us growing old together. These simple yet profound moments are the fuel that ignites John's will to keep fighting, and to keep believing that tomorrow holds the promise of a better day. He draws strength from the faithful teachings of his grandmother Virginia and mother Michelle; finding solace in the belief that God has a purpose for every trial and tribulation we face.
